Fish Trap 2014

We have returned. Returned from one of the best vacations we take each year. Fish Trap Vacation with the Runyan family. This weekend is a highlight of the summer for the whole family. On the way home we even figured out another way to make it even better next year. :) I can't tell anyone, yet. We are beyond thankful for this extra long weekend with the Runyan Family. We eat high class, get beyond full, eat plenty of snacks and don't feel guilty. Betty brings delicious snacks from her work, treats are baked, fresh food from the garden. Chicken.Ribs.Walleye. The aunts work hard that nobody goes hungry, any moment of the day. Are tanks are run dry by the time we leave due activities scheduled, high intense competitions, having fire side chats until 2 or 3 am, and a movie outside on the big screen until 4am. Thank you Mark and Marg for opening up your cabin to all of us.

Dock fun. No glasses were lost in the  lake this year.

Bean bag practice, for the tournament.

Spike Ball, very intense. Shirts come off, bodies flying, and sweat dripping.

Chilldren making memories.

Garden 2014

In the next garden post I will post some pictures of Ken's Garden. So thankful that I found a special man to have in my life that is a top notch gardener. As of today we have picked dozens of dozens strawberry's, a few cucumbers, broccoli, and radishes. We have frozen a bunch of strawberry's and also made Strawberry Rhubarb Jam. I made 5 jars of jam...nummy is all I can say!

Baptism Day

On Sunday, June 6th...Gracie Ruth because a child of Jesus. She was baptized at our church in town. Mitch and Becca are sponsors for Gracie. After the ceremoney at church we headed back to our house for lunch with the family. We are thankful for the family that is here.

Gracie Ruth 3 Months Old

The first three months of life with Gracie Ruth have been simply amazing. I can't even begin to fathom if I have had to return to work already. I'm dreading this fall. By fall when school starts, Gracie Ruth, will be 5 months old...I will be so used to having my little side kick by my 24/7. Here is a view of the two girls at 3 months old.
Gracie is a good eater and sleeper. On a normal day at home, she typically isn't awake for more than 1 1/2-2 hours at a time. She takes a morning (hour), afternoon (2-4 hours), and an evening (hour) nap. During the day she eats about every 3-4 hours. At night, she's been sleeping from 8-9ish tell anywhere between 5 and 7 am. So good sleeper. :) Hope it keeps up. She puts herself to sleep (at home). We just lay her in the crib while she is dozing off and she goes down pretty easy! We have been blessed!
