Thoughts of Wednesday...

Dsc02876

I've always dreamed of having a clothesline in our yard. This house we bought already had one installed, great, right? Today I took the adventure of trying it out for the first time....and man do I hope it has benefits! As I'm hanging my clothes on the line I'm thinking....this is "green," we're saving a couple of dollars, & it's better for our clothes. I look at the clock when I come back inside and I notice it took my 16 minutes to hang up our clothes....so are all of those savings really worth it? I'm hoping so because it was actaully peaceful hanging the clothes up.

Yesterday Audrey had her 1 year check up. Everything went good. I couldn't figure out why I was consistently running a minute slower/per mile when pushing Audrey (on treadmill I have been doing 8 min/mile and jogging stroller about 9 min/mile). I realized why it is becoming harder and harder to push Audi in the running stroller. She is a growing girl! On June 28th, 2011 she weighs 26 pounds, 2 ounces and is 30 3/4 inches long. She is keeping steady in the mid 90%. I'm curious how  long she will continue to stay in that % as Kenneth & I aren't that big?

Audrey is eating 99% of table food...she eats almost anything you give her. She has 1 or 2 bottles per day (morning/night), then uses a cup the rest of the day.

Audrey 1st Birthday~

Can you believe it, Audrey is one already. We spent most of her birthday reminiscing about the day she was born. "Oh, Audrey, right now...you were wearing a hat and being held by grandma." "Oh Audrey, you just came out of mommy." Audrey took 2 naps on her birthday which is uncommon. We kept telling her....it's your birthday, you can cry if you want too. :)

Audrey and I were going to attend a special event at the local library, but after Audrey had a melt down leaving the hard ware store (squirming, yelling, crying, and refusing to sit in stroller)...I said..sorry Audrey we are going home!! We spent the evening having a little party over at Grandma & Grandpa's Evans' house. We did burgers on the grill, ice cream cake, and presents.

Putting our life in boxes, moving it north.

Dsc02785

Once again we found ourselves putting our home into boxes to move it north. As I posted earlier, Kenneth took a new job in Roseau. This is something we had been waiting for, for a while. We had always said this is where we wanted our kids to grow up. One weekend in May we came to Roseau to look at a house, we are living in that house already. It's a perfect house for us, a blue house with a blue door. We "officially" close on the house next week (June 14th), but moved in the first weekend of June. I can't thank Mitch Rue for helping us pack up the Uhaul. It took about 6 hours total to load a 26 foot trailer! When we arrived to Roseau I sent out a message for help to unload the trailer. Help came and it was all unloaded within 40 minutes.

Kenneth has been busy with life in Roseau already. He's playing summer baseball with the town team, The Roseau Royals. Their record is 2-1 on the season. Besides playing baseball, Kenneth has had a LONG to do list from me, and he also has summer basketball "stuff."

Audrey, well I was starting to think she wasn't going to enjoy life in Roseau. She hasn't slept good for about 4 nights and is sneezing a lot. I brought her in to the doctor today to find out she has a bilateral ear infection. POOR BABY! Audrey & I were suppose to be leaving for Madison, WI Thursday morning...but had to cancel the trip as I don't dare travel with her for 12 hours in the car. At the doctor's office today she weighed 25 pounds. We go back in two weeks for her 1 year check up and to check her ears. This is her first ear infection ever, so I feel very fortune about that.

Last weekend, Memorial Weekend, we celebrated the marriage of Heidi & Mikes. It was an amazing day. Everything was so perfect, nothing could of been changed. It was so fun to see my nephew Jack again for the third time. He is growing so fast and is turning into a handsome little baby! I already miss my nephew and niece from Delano. When we left Delano he did say, "mom, it's only two weeks until we get to see them again." That quote made my day.
