Becky Home Maker

I guess you can call me Becky Home Maker. I've started a new hobby. In honor of two of my aunts; Aunt Aundrey & Aunt Ione.  I wanted to crafty when it came to Christmas this year; so I had made a few items as gifts using Aunt Cathy's sewing machine. Surprising, I got a sewing machine of my own for Christmas from my mother/father in law. Some of the gifts I made were flower headbands (Thanks to my friend Sondra, who taught me how to make them), burp cloths (figured it out on my own), work out head bands (saw them at a craft sale and thought I could do that), my latest creation was a changing table cover for my dear daughter and flower clip holders (Thanks again to my friend Sondra).

Here are a few photo's....

Oh, I'll also add some of Audrey. Did you know she has two teeth that I can see?? However, she wouldn't let me get a picture of those.

Adios!

My Little Girl

Gotta hold on easy as I let you go
Gonna tell you how much I love you
Though you think you already know
I remember I thought you looked like an angel wrapped in pink so soft and warm
You've had me wrapped around your finger since the day you were born

You beautiful baby from the outside in
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again
Go on, take on this whole world
But to me you know you'll always be, my little girl

When you were in trouble that crooked little smile could melt my heart of stone
Now look at you, I've turned around and you've almost grown
Sometimes you're asleep I whisper "I Love You" in the moonlight at your door
As I walk away, I hear you say, "Daddy Love You More"

Your beautiful baby from the outside in
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again
Go on, take on this whole world
But to me you know you'll always be, my little girl

Someday, some boy will come and ask me for your hand
But I won't say "yes" to him unless I know, he's the half
That makes you whole, he has a poet's soul, and the heart of a man's man
I know he'll say that he's in love
But between you and me
He won't be good enough

Your beautiful baby from the outside in
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again
Go on, take on this whole world
But to me you know you'll always be, my little girl

Hand Tracing

Handprint_6_months

Here is Audrey's hand traced by her dad.

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas vacation as Audrey and I were away from Delano for 11 straight days! Kenneth made a pit stop in Delano as he had a two day basketball tournament. We LOVED our trip to Colorado to meet our nephew Jack Johnathan Evans and see my brother and his wife, Carrie. There was no snow in Colorado, which was weird to be there for Christmas. So much for a WHITE Christmas? However, it was so nice to be able to go outside for a nice walk without a jacket! We really enjoyed our time there as we just hung low for our 60 hour trip to Colorado. Kenneth did comment how it would be fun to go back when we have more time to do more sight seeing! :) :) Uncle Mike also met us in CO, so we had EVERYBODY there! :) Audrey did excellent on the airplane, she took a nap both ways. However I over packed. I now know what I'd bring again with on an airplane when traveling with a little one.

Next up on our trip was to Grandmas house in Verndale we go. We left the Minneapolis Airport at 2 and arrived at Grandmas by 5:00pm. We had a VERY sharp moment on the way there. We ate breakfast in Colorado and then we thought we'd grab lunch on the road to Verndale, stop by a fast food place. NEWSFLASH...it was CHRISTMAS, fast food places are closed. We learned that as we drove up to a couple to notice nobody was open, not even McDonalds. Chritmas was filled with games, games, dancing/singing competitions, annual skits, FOOD, gifts and great family time.

Audrey and I enjoy spending some time in Roseau for a few days, visiting friends and family. Ken had basketball in the cities. Then we met up in Ada for Christmas at the Hayden's. While in Ada we had the pleasure of being part of two blizzards in 3 days. We also had a blast with all the games, adventures and family time together. I could pro-bally write a book about everything we did, but I'll stop here.

I'm in training, trying train for the Fargo 1/2 Marathon in May. It's different training now, after having a baby...I've been having a hard time being "dedicated." I'd rather sit on my butt and play with Audrey...but bottom line is, I feel SO much better after I do run/workout. :) I'll keep you updated on how that goes.

We had such a great time on "vacation." Audrey was a champ during the whole traveling time...she was perfect. I'm starting to wonder if her teeth are coming in soon? I can't remember if I told you about her 6 month check up...but it was interesting (stranger anxiety for Audrey) to say the least...However Audrey is still a Gerber Baby according to the pedi. She weight 20 pounds 13 oz, 28 inches long. That puts her in the 99% for both her weight and length. Audrey sits up all by her self now, but if she moves to fast or tries to move...she goes FALLING to the side. She is busy talking, playing with her new toys and loves being back at Wendy's (child care).

Enjoy these pictures...
