Audrey 1st Birthday~
Can you believe it, Audrey is one already. We spent most of her birthday reminiscing about the day she was born. "Oh, Audrey, right now...you were wearing a hat and being held by grandma." "Oh Audrey, you just came out of mommy." Audrey took 2 naps on her birthday which is uncommon. We kept telling her....it's your birthday, you can cry if you want too. :) Audrey and I were going to attend a special event at the local library, but after Audrey had a melt down leaving the hard ware store (squirming, yelling, crying, and refusing to sit in stroller)...I said..sorry Audrey we are going home!! We spent the evening having a little party over at Grandma & Grandpa's Evans' house. We did burgers on the grill, ice cream cake, and presents.

Putting our life in boxes, moving it north.
Once again we found ourselves putting our home into boxes to move it north. As I posted earlier, Kenneth took a new job in Roseau. This is something we had been waiting for, for a while. We had always said this is where we wanted our kids to grow up. One weekend in May we came to Roseau to look at a house, we are living in that house already. It's a perfect house for us, a blue house with a blue door. We "officially" close on the house next week (June 14th), but moved in the first weekend of June. I can't thank Mitch Rue for helping us pack up the Uhaul. It took about 6 hours total to load a 26 foot trailer! When we arrived to Roseau I sent out a message for help to unload the trailer. Help came and it was all unloaded within 40 minutes.
Kenneth has been busy with life in Roseau already. He's playing summer baseball with the town team, The Roseau Royals. Their record is 2-1 on the season. Besides playing baseball, Kenneth has had a LONG to do list from me, and he also has summer basketball "stuff." Audrey, well I was starting to think she wasn't going to enjoy life in Roseau. She hasn't slept good for about 4 nights and is sneezing a lot. I brought her in to the doctor today to find out she has a bilateral ear infection. POOR BABY! Audrey & I were suppose to be leaving for Madison, WI Thursday morning...but had to cancel the trip as I don't dare travel with her for 12 hours in the car. At the doctor's office today she weighed 25 pounds. We go back in two weeks for her 1 year check up and to check her ears. This is her first ear infection ever, so I feel very fortune about that. Last weekend, Memorial Weekend, we celebrated the marriage of Heidi & Mikes. It was an amazing day. Everything was so perfect, nothing could of been changed. It was so fun to see my nephew Jack again for the third time. He is growing so fast and is turning into a handsome little baby! I already miss my nephew and niece from Delano. When we left Delano he did say, "mom, it's only two weeks until we get to see them again." That quote made my day.Sunday, May 22, 2011
Running Challenge
This past weekend I challenged myself with a 10K race. Since being pregnant and having Audrey, I have not been very consistent with running. I've gone in grooves...one week I run 4 times a week and the next week I only run once. Previous to this weekend I had ran 5 miles, at one time, about 3 months ago. Otherwise I will normally run anywhere from 2-4 miles each time I go running. It felt so good to get out there this past weekend and run a 10K. My goal was to run it in about an hour, my time was 51:48. So I was very happy with that! My average pace was 8:18 minutes per mile. My sister also ran the full marathon in Fargo, which she did amazing (like always). She got 2nd overall for females!!! She ran a Marathon (26.2 miles) in 2 hours and 54 minutes! That is insane. But I was very proud of her. A couple other friends also ran races in Fargo and then we had an amazing girls night out in Fargo for Heidi's bachelorette party! This weekend was also the first time I spent a night away from Audrey!! She was able to spend some quality time with dad and grandma/grandpa Hayden in Ada.

Hugs
Audrey Jane Hayden gives the best hugs in the world! I don't know any other almost 11 month old baby that gives such good hugs on purpose! Audrey will wrap her arms around your neck and just hug you. I adore it.

Green Grass
Today I sat in the grass outside with Audrey for a half an hour and just enjoyed the weather. We played with her bubble machine too. Audrey has learned at daycare not to eat the grass I think...because every time she had a handful of grass, she handed it to me. :) Audrey is 10 months old. She is sleeping great again, she had gone backwards for a while. She crawls both ways. Wants nothing to do with standing...which is okay with me! She eats baby foot and big people food. She can sign more and bubbles. But now that she knows both of them, she sometimes get's them mixed up. She LOVES baths so I think she will LOVE the lake this summer. Today, Audrey went to her first track meet (at Delano). We had a wonderful Easter with the Runyan family in Verndale. We missed Emily and Eric and their girls..but look forward to see them in July. I will post pictures soon. I haven't been blogging much lately, will try to work on it!

Colorado Trip 2: Success
I guess you could say, Audrey is becoming a world traveling. In a matter of 10 days Audrey flew to Colorado, back to the cities and then drove to Roseau with me. We (Sam, Jane, Audrey and I) went to Colorado to play with Cousin Jack, Auntie Carrie, and Uncle Andy. Jack was had his Baptism on Sunday....which we learned a few things. The baptism ended up being really funny. Jack ended up getting his first tooth a few days later., which explains why was a little off during the ceremony. We also learned Audrey likes to be heard in ALL places...inducing church. I ended up walking around or letting her crawl around the whole time during the baptism, until she passed out in my arms. We had a great time in Colorado, it's so beautiful there. So many walking paths, hiking paths and things to see. Audrey even went down her first slide while in Colorado. The plane ride went amazing smooth, again. Audrey slept the whole time on the plane...good planning by Grandma Jane to schedule the flight during her nap time! Audrey discovered on this trip she can play a game with Grandpa Sam. She pretends she is scared of him, until he gives her something good (pancakes or apple juice). Then she is his best friend!!! What a smarty!
Once we returned to Minnesota we had a few days at home with dad then off to Roseau Audrey and I went. Auntie Heidi was having her Pampered Chef Bridal Party....what fun! A double bonus as we got to see some family we haven't seen for some time! I was able to spend some quality time with some old high school friends/best friends! My jaw hadn't hurt that bad in a long time from laughing, smiling and reminiscing about the all the good times. The little girl, Maddie (flower girl in my wedding), who I used to babysit, babysat Audrey while we were home! It was a bitter sweet moment...how does time fly by so quickly that Maddie is almost a 7th grade? Audrey is getting cuter and cuter every single day! Her hair is growing in, she now has 6 teeth...she loves table food. She will still eat baby food, but is enjoying discovering other food. Her balance is coming along, not standing by herself more than 2 seconds. Walking along everything!! She has FINALLY slept through the night 2 straight nights...after some "sleep training" we did. She had been getting up at night consistently 2 or 3 times a night for the past 2 months!! She typically takes 1 long nap a day for about 2-3 hours.
