Next up on our trip was to Grandmas house in Verndale we go. We left the Minneapolis Airport at 2 and arrived at Grandmas by 5:00pm. We had a VERY sharp moment on the way there. We ate breakfast in Colorado and then we thought we'd grab lunch on the road to Verndale, stop by a fast food place. NEWSFLASH...it was CHRISTMAS, fast food places are closed. We learned that as we drove up to a couple to notice nobody was open, not even McDonalds. Chritmas was filled with games, games, dancing/singing competitions, annual skits, FOOD, gifts and great family time.
Audrey and I enjoy spending some time in Roseau for a few days, visiting friends and family. Ken had basketball in the cities. Then we met up in Ada for Christmas at the Hayden's. While in Ada we had the pleasure of being part of two blizzards in 3 days. We also had a blast with all the games, adventures and family time together. I could pro-bally write a book about everything we did, but I'll stop here.
I'm in training, trying train for the Fargo 1/2 Marathon in May. It's different training now, after having a baby...I've been having a hard time being "dedicated." I'd rather sit on my butt and play with Audrey...but bottom line is, I feel SO much better after I do run/workout. :) I'll keep you updated on how that goes.
We had such a great time on "vacation." Audrey was a champ during the whole traveling time...she was perfect. I'm starting to wonder if her teeth are coming in soon? I can't remember if I told you about her 6 month check up...but it was interesting (stranger anxiety for Audrey) to say the least...However Audrey is still a Gerber Baby according to the pedi. She weight 20 pounds 13 oz, 28 inches long. That puts her in the 99% for both her weight and length. Audrey sits up all by her self now, but if she moves to fast or tries to move...she goes FALLING to the side. She is busy talking, playing with her new toys and loves being back at Wendy's (child care).
Enjoy these pictures...
