Sleep

We are so blessed for how great Audrey has been sleeping! The past couple of nights shes been sleeping from 8:30pm until about 5:00am! I have waken up a few times, checking to see what time it is and I'm amazed she hasn't woken to eat yet! We are thankful this is happening now rather than later as school starts in another week or two!

She also has her first day of child care tomorrow at Wendy's. She is going for 3 or 4 hours tomorrow, we are easing into it. I would feel so bad to leave her with a complete stranger for a full day!

Tears

Today Audrey had her first real tears when she was crying for her bottle...tomorrow she has her shots so I'm guessing we will see more :( Not cute!

She has also put herself to bed on her own, 2 of the past 3 nights...she might be on to something?!!

Fish Trap Weekend

We enjoyed our family weekend at Mark and Margs cabin on Fish Trap lake. The weekend vacation started on Friday with a golf scramble (which both Ken and I participated in), my team got 2nd and Ken's team got 3rd! The team lefties won (they had all the experienced golfers on it). After golfing we headed back to the cabin for supper, volleyball games and the football fantasy draft (I got a great team! I'll tell you this fall how it all plays out...).

On Saturday we woke up, head breakfast, hung out around the cabin/on the beach/fishing/volleyball and then went out on the lake for some tubing! We had a delcious supper and then had a bean bag tournament and enjoyed the campfire!

On Sunday we played more games...volleyball, bean bags...visited and had to say goodbye to all the Runyan family! Audrey also smiled at Grandma Ruth for a good 5 seconds on Sunday morning, the day she turned 8 weeks.

Sleeping

This morning for Audrey's nap, she feel asleep on her own! Does this mean by baby doesn't need me to help her sleep anymore? If so, I will be terrible sad!

August

Wow, it's been about a while since I've got a post up! We've been busy at the Hayden house hold. We spent almost 2 weeks up north in the middle of July. Audrey did her first 5k in Roseau with me while dad ran along way ahead of us! But Audrey enjoyed it, it rained during the race! After the race we enjoyed the weekend at the lake with both sets of grandparents, fun had by all! Audrey was able to attend in her first Roseau County Fair (no rides, we figured we'd wait tell she's older :) ). We saw alot of family and friends while we were home. Then we headed to Fargo for a weeding, one of Ken's classmates. We also had a funeral to attend in Mayville. Then we were able to enjoy 5 days in Ada with Grandma Ruth and Grandpa Dan. Kenneth and I got some great sleep as Grandma Ruth in a night owl and Audrey slept so well!

Since we've been home from that adventure we've still been busy! We got a jogging stroller for an anniversary gift from Grandma Ruth and Grandpa Dan, we got a new bed and bed setting for our anniversary gift (Thanks Grandma Jane) and we also ordered Audreys big girl crib! We have done some re orangizing our house while we've been home and then Grandpa Ruth and Grandpa Dan were down last weekend and we went to the Minnesota Zoo (it was HOT). Audrey had a blow out while we were there as well :)

Heidi, my sister, is coming down here tomorrow until Sunday. We are looking forward to it! We got many things planned. We are going to Taste of Delano, Garage Sailing and doing some shopping (just to name a few things)! Heidi is also bringing down our 42" TV I won, so we now will have three TVS in this apartment, anyone need a TV?

Surprise Visit and Rodeo

Saturday morning we received a telephone call from Kenneths' parents saying they were on their way down to Delano for the night. For them, it's unusual for them to just decided something like that so last minute and do it. Saturday night we spent the evening at the Rodeo in Hamel, Audrey's first Rodeo. Audrey enjoyed every minute of it, she slept 80% of the time! The other 20% of the time she was either eating or trying to burp!

Today, Sunday, we are having a brunch with them. Mitch is making egg bake and I am in the process of cooking monkey bread! Audrey is sleeping away and I am surfing the net while drinking my coffee with caramel vanilla creamer. Delicious!

First Vacation

We all survived our first vacation with Audrey Jane. Our first stop was at grandma Mary's in Verndale and Audrey met some of the aunts/uncles/cousins/grandparents on that side. After that we headed to Ada for a 2 nights to hang out with Grandma Ruth and Grandpa Dan. Kenneth got to work in his garden while in Ada. Audrey and I got to go on walks. Then we headed up farther North to the lake were Audrey met a ton of new people! Many people from the Evans side...aunts/uncles and cousins were there to meet her! Audrey was able to enjoy her first 4th of July party at the lake, had a baby shower (Audrey got many amazing gifts), went to her first parade in Warroad and put her feet in the sand! We did family photos as well while we were at the lake. On Monday we headed back south, first stop was Earls drive in, then off to Ada for another night (grandma Ruth got up with Audrey, so we got some good sleep that night).

Kenneth went fishing with cousin Cary and caught a 28 inch walleye, he said it was the highlight of his trip!

Our good friend Arleen Billberg and my amazing sister, Heidi, planned the baby shower and made some amazing treats!!! Arleen also did the catering and food at our wedding, she is amazing at what she does!

We had a blast on our first trip, we enjoyed spending time with both families! It's always nice to get back home and I think Audrey was also ready to get back to the place she calls home as well. The last night or two on our adventure-- she stated getting a little more cranky before bed time (she gets that from her mother I think!).
